Google AR: Bring these life-sized animals to your room through search

Google has launched its first AR (Augmented Reality) objects in Google Search. Google AR technology now lets us hang out with some pretty cool creatures straight from our phones. Google announced the new feature on social media, explaining: "If you've got an AR-enabled phone, you can now bring select animals right into your space for a safari (or safe snuggle) with Search."

How to use Google AR Feature?

  • Users can place 3D augmented reality images of animals directly into their surroundings by using their AR-enabled smartphones. Check out the full list of Google AR Supported device models
  • If you have an  AR-enabled phone, then all you need to do is search for specific animals using Google search and you'll get an augmented reality vision of those creatures to play around with.
  • To use the feature, navigate to Google on a compatible device, and search for the animal in question in Google Search.
  •  If the animal you’ve searched for (say, a wolf) is available, it’ll show up in a small box with some statistics and an animated thumbnail, and an invitation to “meet a life-sized wolf up close.” You can then move the animal around and press 'view in your space' to see the animal wherever you are!
